7th Grade Homeschool Curriculum Choices: World History

After much deliberation, many idea changes, and quite a few returns to Amazon, we finally have Gavin’s curriculum set for his 7th-grade year. Fingers crossed that we don’t change our minds again, but that is always a possibility!

Let’s start with History because it is the subject that I have the most books for currently.

History Odyssey Ancients Level 2

History Odyssey Ancients Level 2

This one was a last-minute decision to start, but so far so good. I love that it is basically an open and go system.

Gavin loves the idea of doing a timeline and it is required with the History Odyssey!

This book started as our spine and is one of the first books we turn to to make sure we are covering everything we need to. While it is a great spine, it doesn’t cover everything. It is my son’s favorite book though. I do recommend getting this book for all middle schoolers in general though, even if they have a great curriculum that they love.

This is our favorite resource book for history in general. It is written in timeline form and spans from 6.5 MYA (Before History Began) to Present (2018).

So there you have it, everything we are currently using for World History this year. I can guarantee there will be more books added throughout the year, either from Amazon or the library. I may add them to this post as I get them, so feel free to bookmark this page and come back!

What books are on your must-have list for World History?
